Remote control android from a computer via the Internet. Remote control android device

Antipyretics for children are prescribed by a pediatrician. But there are emergency situations for fever when the child needs to be given medicine immediately. Then the parents take responsibility and use antipyretic drugs. What is allowed to give to infants? How can you bring down the temperature in older children? What medicines are the safest?

Perhaps, almost all users from time to time need to work with a home (or, conversely, office) computer without being at its monitor. Perhaps you need some important document that you forgot at work, or you are just too lazy to get up from the couch and go to the next room where your home PC is located - you can “access” such computers using a smartphone or tablet on which the remote control program is installed. administration.

Chrome Remote Desktop

Mobile client Chrome Remote Desktop for Android, which Google released just the other day. For it to work, you will need to install a similar application on your PC, available in the Chrome Web Store as a browser extension Google Chrome https://chrome.google.com/remotedesktop

After launching the module (accessible from the "Applications" menu), in the "My computers" section, click the "Allow remote connections”, and then come up with a PIN code for a third-party device. At this, the preparatory stage can be considered complete and proceed to the actual connection - on a smartphone or tablet, launch the Remote Desktop application (which has a simply ascetic interface) and select your computer in it (if it is online and you can connect to it at the moment , the icon will be colored, otherwise it will be grey). After that, the desktop of your PC will be displayed on the screen of the mobile device - the mouse is controlled using the touch screen (the control is “indirect”, i.e. touching the screen will not move the cursor to this point - the touch screen here works more like a laptop touchpad ), and the system keyboard of the mobile device is called to enter text. Changing the window scale is performed by the usual two-finger pinch-to-zoom gesture, pressing the left mouse button is worked out by touching the screen with one finger, the right one - with two. In the application menu, it is also possible to send the Ctrl-Alt-Del command and end the session (by the way, on the PC itself, when connected to it from a mobile device, a warning message is displayed about granting access indicating the user name and the possibility of disabling it). The performance is on top, there are almost no “lags” (when connected via Wi-Fi).

So far, Chrome Remote Desktop seems to be very limited in functionality, plus it requires devices with a common Google account (and the use of the Chrome browser on a PC) to work. On the other hand, for users who have these “initial conditions” already met, they get a very simple and fairly convenient solution for remote access to a PC that does not require almost any preliminary configuration.

Microsoft Remote Desktop

Remote administration client from Microsoft - accordingly, only Windows computers are supported. It uses an RDP connection, so you won’t need to create any additional accounts in third-party services - on the other hand, setting up a connection turns out to be somewhat more complicated.

So, first you will have to allow the connection to the remote desktop in the system settings of the PC (“Control Panel” - “System” - “Settings remote access”), plus your account must have a password set (in the case of Windows 8 and using a Live account for authorization, the task is simplified). After that, in the Android client, you need to create a new connection by specifying the IP address of the computer (you can find it out by running in command line ipconfig command) and enter the username / password of the account on the PC.

When a connection is established, the computer is blocked - you can only work with your account from one device at a time (this feature is typical for all RDP clients). The desktop on the screen of a smartphone / tablet is displayed in full screen, in the default mode, you need to press a special button to change the scale, but when switching to “Mouse Pointer”, a standard “pinch” is used for this purpose. It also switches between mouse control methods - "direct" (the cursor moves directly to the touch point) and "touchpad" (the touch screen acts as a touchpad, the cursor moves when you slide your finger across the screen and can be at any other point). An additional virtual keyboard contains all the necessary Windows keys (the block with the most frequently used ones can be displayed above the Android keyboard, the extended version opens in a separate layer).

In terms of responsiveness, Microsoft Remote Desktop does not look the best - if under similar conditions (Wi-Fi connection) other programs allowed, albeit with slowdowns, to watch HD video, then the Microsoft client turned out to be unsuitable for this purpose, the video turned into a slide show.

Splashtop 2 Remote Desktop

To use the application, you need to create an account in the Splashtop service and install the Splashtop Streamer program http://www.splashtop.com/personal on your PC - in it, in fact, it is enough to log into your account, after which, without further settings, the system will be ready to work.

When connected, the application shows tips on control gestures and a description of the toolbar (tap - left click, hold - right, swipe with two fingers - scroll the window, pinch-to-zoom - zoom, etc.). The computer desktop opens in full-screen mode (even the status bar is hidden), only small buttons are displayed in the lower right corner - calling the virtual keyboard and toolbar (logout, screen orientation lock, image smoothing / sharpening, sound mute, scroll wheel call and transition to touchpad mode). By default, the mouse is directly controlled by the touch screen (touching the screen moves the cursor to that point), but it is also possible to switch to touchpad mode.

Unfortunately, the free version of Splashtop 2 Remote Desktop only allows you to connect to your PC within one local network- To access your computer via the Internet, you will need to purchase a subscription to the Anywhere Access Pack ($2 per month or $17 per year). For this reason, despite the ease of connection, ease of use and good image quality, Splashtop 2 Remote Desktop can be advised only for “sofa” use - if the task is to remotely access an office PC from home, then it is better to turn to free counterparts.

2X Remote Desktop Client

A simple remote access client that allows you to use both your own service (there are options for business and home use) and the standard RDP protocol, available, unlike a proprietary service, absolutely free.

Like Microsoft Remote Desktop, 2X Remote Desktop Client also locks the computer when connected. To optimize performance, you can simplify the graphics settings (lower the resolution, reduce the number of colors), disable the display of desktop wallpapers, Aero effects, Windows animation, etc.

2X Remote Desktop Client does not know how to hide the Android status bar, however, it allows you to completely hide all its own controls (you can call them using the system menu button). To change the scale, the pinch-to-zoom gesture is used, however, it does not work out as smoothly as in other programs. By default, mouse control is “direct”, it is possible to turn on a mouse emulator, in which a schematic mouse with two buttons and a fixed cursor is shown on the screen - the user drags this entire structure to the desired area and touches the required button. This is not to say that this is more convenient than the touchpad mode of other programs, but this solution allows you to implement a full-fledged right button. Also, this application has its own virtual keyboard with a fairly large selection of languages, among which there is Russian, but no Ukrainian. In addition, it contains all the additional Windows keys - Win, Alt, Ctrl and Shift in the main keyboard, an additional number pad and F-keys are placed in a separate layout.

Overall, the 2X Remote Desktop Client looks pretty good, doesn't cost money (for an RDP connection), and offers an interesting mouse emulator, but it's not among the best in terms of usability.

teamviewer

The remote administration package, which needs no introduction, offers, among other things, a mobile client.

To use it, you need a TeamViewer client installed on your PC plus an account in this service. The option to use it to access your own PC is just one of the many features, so it's no surprise that in terms of functionality, TeamViewer offers much more than other programs. Connecting to other people's computers, group work, video and audio conferences, etc. - in this regard, it is difficult to compete with TeamViewer.

The application does not hide the status bar, so the desktop cannot be displayed in full screen of the mobile device. The set of gestures is standard: touch - left click, hold - right, "pinch" - zoom. On a smartphone with FullHD resolution, it was not possible to display the PC screen in the “full screen” scale - the desktop was scaled along the long side of the smartphone screen and scrolled along the short one. The mouse mode is only “touchpad”, TeamViewer does not have direct control (when touching the screen moves the cursor to this point). To improve performance, you can turn off the display of desktop wallpaper, change the screen resolution, and choose to optimize the image "for speed".

In addition to the usual Ctrl-Alt-Del command, TeamViewer can also lock the remote PC, reboot it, and block remote user control. Interestingly, a special panel with Windows keys (Win, Alt, Ctrl, function F-keys, Tab, Esc, etc.) is added for the virtual keyboard.

In addition to connecting to your own PCs, as already mentioned, TeamViewer can also be used to access the computers of other users - in this case, they must tell you their ID. Also in the mobile application it is possible to transfer files - both from a smartphone to a PC, and in the opposite direction.

AT free version session time is limited (with not very active use of the program, it is 50 minutes, but can be reduced to 5 minutes for a day or more).

AccessToGo RDP

Like the 2X Remote Desktop Client, the brainchild of Ericom Software can use both its own high-speed communication protocol (which you have to pay for) and free RDP.

The application allows you to customize the quality of the transmitted image, select the type of virtual keyboard (Android or PC), redefine “for yourself” two- and three-finger gestures, mouse behavior, and a lot of other things (for example, there is a separate setting “my smartphone has a hardware slider keyboard” ). In general, in terms of settings, AccessToGo RDP has an impressive choice.

When connected, the status bar is not hidden, but the toolbar is hidden completely without closing the view (it is called using the system menu button). Zooming is carried out by “pinch”, the mouse can work in two modes - direct touch control and “a la touchpad”, plus it is possible to turn on the mouse emulator (a schematic representation of a manipulator with buttons, a cursor and, for some reason, the ability to call a virtual keyboard) . Own virtual keyboard offers a lot of languages, among which there are both Ukrainian and Russian. It is also worth noting a separate scrolling mode, which is missing in some other applications.

AccessToGo RDP is a functional application and quite easy to use, however, in terms of speed (when using a free connection type), it is at the level of other RDP clients, losing to Chrome Remote Desktop and TeamViewer.

Results

Of the applications reviewed, perhaps the least number of questions is Chrome Remote Desktop - high screen rendering speed, ease of use and complete freeness cover shortcomings such as the need to use the Chrome browser and poor functionality. TeamViewer users on a PC will most likely prefer a familiar product on mobile devices, but if you don’t want to create accounts in specialized services, you can turn to RDP clients - Microsoft Remote Desktop or AccessToGo RDP.

In today's material, we will consider one interesting feature of remote control of an Android-based smartphone or tablet through a computer. It will use standard web tools and the PlayMarket app store environment and setting up a Google account. This will help you a little easier work with your gadget.
For full-fledged work, you need a working Google account linked to the device, a personal computer or laptop with Internet access, and some time. We will consider two issues: remote installation of applications on your Android and remote control, and so let's get started.

How to remotely install apps on your Android

To begin with, we will make a simple personal setting and give a few examples ( all screenshots enlarge when clicked):

1. First, go to the main page of the PlayMarket website and enter your account by entering your login and password;

2. When you are logged in, you will see your name and profile picture in the upper right corner;

3. Click on the gear icon (settings) and select "Devices";

4. A list of All devices linked to your account will appear. If you have a lot of devices, then you can find the one you need by model or registration date and give it a unique name by clicking the rename button;

5. Great, the basic settings have been checked and done, now you can enter the name of the desired application in the search column or simply go to the directory;

6. For example, we went to the Music section and want to install "Vkontakte Music". Click on it and read its basic description and look at the photo;

7. If the application completely suits us, then we press the install button, select our device from the list and that's it. As soon as your Android is in the Wi-Fi network zone, the application will be installed on it automatically.

Remote control Android

1. We enter the PlayMarket start page;

2. In the settings menu, select the item " Remote control android";

3. In the settings of your smartphone, the option of remote device detection must be enabled: settings - location (see screenshot below);

4. In the remote control settings, you can perform the following functions:

a. Send a loud remote call that can only be turned off by the power key;

b. Remotely delete all data of a smartphone or tablet;

c. Find current location of Android device with high accuracy.

So we have considered all possible options for remote control of a device based on the Android platform. Everything is quite simple and clear, if you have any questions we will be happy to answer them in the comments.

Dear friends, today we will discuss remote control of Android from a computer. There are two types of Google device control. Let's first look at their functionality, and then the configuration and use of each of them.

  1. Staff funds of Google. If you previously had an iPhone smartphone, then this service will remind you of the Find My iPhone function. You can block your device if it is lost, erase data from it, give a signal, find it on a map, and so on.
  2. Use of third party programs. This option is suitable for those who need to take advantage of more in-depth management: enter messages, contacts, and the like.

It turns out that we have divided remote work into two camps, which are very different in terms of the functionality provided to the user. You need to decide exactly what actions you are going to perform through your computer, and then choose a method to achieve your goal. Please note that if in the first case you can use one tool from Google, then in the second method several programs will be available to you. They, in turn, also have some differences.

Google Tools

To begin with, consider a regular service from Google. You will need an active internet connection on your Android smartphone or tablet to use it. Otherwise, the program will not work. Many may wonder why? Why is it needed at all then? We will answer for you with a counter question: how should data be transferred between a computer and a smartphone, for example? They cannot use the power of thought, so an Internet connection is used. Let's try to start the service and consider its functions:

  • Go to the site https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager?hl=ru under your data from, to which your smartphone is linked;
  • Here you will see your device that you can manage. Let's move on to the functions;
  • So, in this window, you can see the location of your smartphone or tablet. If the map does not show a place, then press the button with an aim;

  • The virtual key "Call" will allow you to give a sound signal to the gadget. That is, if you cannot find your device at home, and it is on silent, you can use this function. The phone will play the sound in any case, unless it is in the off state;
  • The blocking point speaks for itself: you will be able to set New Password on the gadget so that the attacker could not use it. Especially useful if you didn't have a password at all;
  • The "Erase" button will delete all data and files from your phone. As in the previous case, this function is designed to protect personal information from an attacker. He will not be able to see your photos, videos, correspondence, as they will be deleted;
  • The only downside of this service will be the connection to the Internet connection. An attacker can simply take and turn off the device, then Android remote control will be meaningless. But if you had the Internet turned on, and there is a lock on the device, then the thief will not be able to turn it off. Therefore, it is not worth belittling the importance of the service from Google.

Third Party Program

Now we will discuss a slightly different issue about remote control of Android smartphones and tablets. Here we will consider a program that allows you to send messages, view your contact list and even run some applications from your computer without touching the screen of the device.

The miracle utility is called AirDroid. Perhaps the most handy program, which can be downloaded for free on the Internet (it is advisable to download it from the official website). Despite this, it has a very rich functionality: you can use messages, view applications, manage contacts, files, photos, music, call log and ringtones. In addition, you can broadcast what is happening on the screen of your device to a computer or laptop monitor. All this is done using special buttons on the left toolbar, as well as application shortcuts on the main page. You can install AirDroid without any problems by downloading the installer to your computer or laptop.

Summing up

Friends, we have discussed remote control. Now you know that it can be divided into two sections: Google tools and third-party programs. Each of these sections is responsible for its specific list of functions and services that they provide to the end user. Choose what you need and tell us about it in the comments! And also share your experience of using these amazing and useful programs: what you liked and what you didn't.
