Tool selection

To select a tool, just click on it with the mouse. The active tool is highlighted in white. Many tools can be customized: set the line thickness, size, shape.

Tool " Eraser» is for cleaning a small area of a drawing. Tool settings - thickness.
The eraser works in two modes - as a normal one and as a color one. The difference between a regular eraser and a colored one: a regular eraser erases everything behind it, a colored eraser only erases the active color of the brush. To delete an image with a colored eraser, hold down the right mouse button, to delete an image drawn not only with the active color of the brush, hold down the left mouse button.
(regular eraser) (colored eraser)

For a more accurate drawing of the details of the picture, an enlarged scale is used, which can be selected either in the View menu or using the tool (the settings panel appears).

You can return to normal mode by either selecting 1x or View-Zoom-Normal.

Line and curve

Tool " Line» allows you to draw a straight line. Tool settings - thickness.

To draw a horizontal or vertical line or a 45 degree line, hold down the SHIFT key while moving the mouse.

Tool " Curve» allows you to draw a curved line. Tool settings - thickness.

When drawing a line, be sure to specify two bends (each bend is a click).

Pencil and brush

Tools "Pencil" and "Brush" allow you to draw "freehand" arbitrary lines. The Pencil tool has no settings, the Brush tool has a shape.

The line is drawn with the main color. To draw lines with the background color, hold down the right mouse button.

Quest "Feed the chicken"

1. Launch Paint. Set the sheet size to 320 x 230 dots.

2. Insert a picture from the file “pictures \ chick.bmp” (Edit - Paste from File)

3. Using various brush shapes, add grain to the plate (circle shape), worms (left slanted line), rain (right slanted line).

4. Save in your folder as "3-chick.bmp"

The geometry drawing tools allow you to draw closed shapes.

When you select the geometric shape tool in the settings, you can select the type of shape: outline of the shape (current color), painted figure with an outline (outline color - current, fill color - background), painted figure without an outline (current color).

The thickness of the shape's border is the same as the line thickness selected for the line tool.

To change the thickness of the border, select a line or curve in the toolbox, and then select the lineweight below the toolbox.

To draw a "correct" shape (circle, square) or to have the polygon contain only 45 and 90 degree angles, hold down the SHIFT key while moving the mouse cursor

In the previous lesson, you learned that the computer has a wonderful program with which you can create drawings. What to do next with these drawings is a personal matter for everyone. Someone keeps them on a computer, while others print them out, and still others publish them on the Internet. In this lesson you will learn how to draw in Paint using different tools and colors.

Let me remind you that to open the Paint program, you need to click on the Start button (bottom left).

In the list that opens, click on the item "All programs" ("Programs").

From the large list that appears, select "Standard".

And open the Paint program.

Now let's take a closer look at this program.

The Paint program consists of several parts. The most important part is the white rectangle in the middle. This is our leaf, that is the place where we will draw.

The next, no less important part of the program is the tools. This is what, how we will draw. The tools are either on the left or at the top (depending on the version of the Paint program).

Also, for a full-fledged drawing, we need different colors. The part of the program in which you can select a color is either at the bottom left or at the top right (depending on the version).

Well, there is another part of the program - the top menu. By the way, this is the part that we will use extremely rarely.

As you already know, you can choose a color for drawing either at the bottom left or at the top right. In order for the color you like to be “assigned”, you just need to click on it with the left mouse button. By the way, pay attention to the two squares next to the flowers.

If you click on any color, it will appear in the first (front) box. This means that the color is selected and you can draw with it.

And the back square is the color with which you will erase the drawing. It is white by default. It's better not to change it.

By the way, this is not all colors. You can choose any other color. To do this, you need to change the palette.

In the old version of the Paint program, click on the inscription "Palette" (upper right). The inscription "Change Palette" will appear. Click on it.

In the new version of Paint, use the "Change Colors" button.

Drawing tools in Paint

And now the most interesting thing is drawing. In Paint, as in life, there are several ways to draw. You can use a brush or pencil, or you can spray paint. There are other options: inscription, lines, shapes. Now we will look at the most popular drawing tools.

Let me remind you that the tools in the Paint program are either on the left side or on top.

Let's start with the Pencil tool. It looks like this:

Draws with a thin line. Try to draw something. To do this, left-click on the Pencil tool, then click on the desired color, then move the cursor over white, click on the left mouse button and, without releasing it, move the mouse.

The next popular tool is the "Brush". It looks like this:

Draws with a thicker line than Pencil.

By the way, you can choose the thickness of the "Brush" yourself.

If you have an older version of the Paint program, then under the tools there is a window in which you can select the thickness and appearance of the line. To do this, click on any kind of line and try to draw (same as with "Pencil").

And if you have a new version program, in order to choose the thickness and appearance of the brush, you need to click on the button with a small arrow right under the tool "Brush". Try to draw with different brushes (draw the same way as with "Pencil").

In the old version of the Paint program, there is a tool called "Sprayer" that draws with dots. It looks like this:

The sprayer, like the brush, has different sizes. And they need to draw in the same way as with a pencil and a brush.

Eraser tool. Erases what you have drawn.

"Fill". Fills a merged area with color. Scale tool. Enlarges part of the picture. It is convenient to use this tool for drawing small details.

In order to enlarge a part of the picture, click on the Zoom tool and click on the place of the picture that you want to enlarge with the left mouse button. In order to return it back, that is, to reduce it, right-click on the enlarged picture. If that doesn't work, then select the Zoom tool again and left-click on the enlarged image.

And finally, let's talk about one more tool, which, compared to the previous ones, is not so often used.

Eyedropper tool. It is needed in order to determine the color in the picture. To do this, point the "Pipette" at a certain colored part of the picture and click once with the left mouse button. Then look at the set color. He has changed. That is, using the "Pipette" you can select a color in a certain place (point) of the picture.

We have just reviewed the most commonly used tools in the Paint program. Try to draw a similar drawing using them.

The computer is designed not only for work, but also for creativity. With it, you can also create masterpieces using only the mouse. Or you can tweak an existing drawing a bit. Of course, for more serious work, there are special graphic editor- Photoshop, CorelDRAW and others. But for starters, the usual standard paint program will do for you. In order to understand how to draw in paint, how to use a variety of tools and what can come of it, you just need to try.

Where is paint

Finding a program is very easy. Enter the "Start" menu, then the "Programs" section, find the "Accessories" folder there and you will see paint - a beautiful icon with a brush and paints.

I must say that the internal features of the program in Windows XP and Windows 7 are significantly different. Although, in principle, the only difference is that the control panel in Windows 7 was moved to the top, as in all other Windows programs.

How can you draw in paint

The choice of tools is quite large. From the very beginning, your standard tool is a pencil. If you hold down the left mouse button and move it arbitrarily, you get a clumsy black squiggle. You can draw anything with a pencil. The quality of the drawing, however, depends on your ability to control the mouse.

You can choose any color, as well as other tools - brushes, aerosol. In Windows 7, there is also a pen and different brushes - oil, watercolor, pastel, texture pencil. If you wish, if you gain enough experience, you can draw real pictures.

If you want to achieve perfect shapes, there are special blanks in paint: rectangles, ellipses, triangles... Even hearts and arrows. To draw a shape, select it in the control panel, move the mouse to the place on the canvas where you want to draw it and hold down the left mouse button, dragging it to the side. You can change the drawn figure - stretch it, change the color while it is highlighted with a dotted line. To make the shape perfectly even, hold Shift while drawing.

Another useful tool is fill. With it, you can paint over a large area with one color in one click. But be careful: if there is a “hole” somewhere (a space in the outline of the figure), the entire fill will “flow out” into the neighboring area. But if this happened - do not be alarmed, you can always undo the last action using the Ctrl + Z keys.

How to save a drawing

You can save the fruits of your creativity through the File menu, then "Save As". In the dialog box that opens, you can not only choose where to save the file, but also determine its format. standard format for paint programs- .bmp. But most Internet resources do not support it, so you can save it in one of the usual formats: .jpeg, .jpg or .gif.

Advanced level: paint.NET

But the possibilities of paint, alas, are limited. For example, it is impossible to process at least some photo there. But there is an improved version of the editor - paint.NET, which includes some useful features of serious editors and ease of control of paint.

To understand how to draw in paint net, you need to try paint first. And then - everything is simple, only some new options.

Good luck with your creativity!
