Potions recipes for minecraft 1.12 1. Potions

Antipyretics for children are prescribed by a pediatrician. But there are emergency situations for fever when the child needs to be given medicine immediately. Then the parents take responsibility and use antipyretic drugs. What is allowed to give to infants? How can you bring down the temperature in older children? What medicines are the safest?

To gain a specific influence on mobs and players in the Minecraft game, you need to do potions and make potions in Minecraft, which appeared in update 1.0.0. To create them, you will need a cooking stand, water, sausage and other ingredients:

gunpowder gives the potion an explosive effect that spreads to several mobs and players;

infernal outgrowth is needed to make a Rough Potion;
on the one hand, light dust increases the effects of potions, on the other, it reduces their duration;

cooked spider eye makes the effects of potions negative, reversing them;

red dust reduces effects but increases their duration.

To give potions special effects, the following basic ingredients are needed:

  • fiery powder will give strength;
  • a sparkling slice of watermelon will allow you to instantly heal;
  • gast tear will help regeneration;
  • sugar will give speed;
  • golden carrot ability to see at night;
  • spider eye causes poisoning;
  • golden carrot together with a cooked spider eye (only in this sequence - carrot, then eye) - invisibility;
  • lava cream will give fire resistance;
  • pufferfish - the ability to breathe underwater.

Ingredients

The ingredients are potions that are used in the preparation of other potions, they are not used for other purposes.

Health

Potions for various operations with one's own health. If a regular cardio appears in the Duration row, this means that health will be restored during this time. If the heart in the row is pale, health will decrease. The effect of the potion will be instant if the "Duration" row is "0:00"

Minecraft introduced the ability to create elixirs that increase performance or restore health for a certain time. The composition of the potions includes trophies obtained from most monsters (previously these items were present in the world, but they were not needed for potions).

For example, in version 1.9, a spider eye appeared. With it, you can make an elixir that gives you the ability to breathe underwater. In addition to items that drop from monsters, potions will require sugar, water and, of course, a glass vessel. Most of the ingredients can be found in the Nether, where fire wands fall from efreets (they make two portions of the much-needed fire powder), and tears from gasts.

Potions vary in both type and quality. What effect lies in a particular potion can be guessed by its name. In the game, in general, there are about 400 types of potions. The completed version 1.9 will include a cauldron and a tripod, with which you can create various elixirs.

Elixirs of Positive Action Recipes

Level 1 health elixir can be obtained from ghast tears. With it, you can restore several lives of the character. To get a second level potion, you need to mix a ball of mucus, an infernal wart and sugar. Level 3 Health Elixir is obtained by mixing all of the above components, while replacing the slime ball with fire powder.

After creating a fire resistance potion, it will be possible to safely swim in lava, as in ordinary water. It will be impossible to set the player on fire for 3 minutes. The duration of this potion may vary depending on the ingredients used. To get the effect of fire resistance, you need magma slime. She can appear from magma cubes (in the Nether, they are analogues of slugs).

Recipes for different potions can be crossed. By experimenting, you can achieve a high quality elixir, which will give several gains at once. For example, if you mix a gast tear and magma slime, you get an elixir that simultaneously restores health and gives you the ability to resist fire. If, for example, you cross a speed-increasing sugar with a gast tear, then as a result of such a tandem, you get a healing potion of speed.

The combination of water, magma slime and a spider's eye will allow you to stay in hot lava with impunity for three minutes. At this time, the character will have the ability to breathe freely under water and not burn in fire.

Elixirs of Impact

Along with positive effects, elixirs can cause unpleasant consequences. For example, combining sugar, water, a fermented spider's eye and a hellish wart increases speed, improves resistance to fire, and adds health. But this drug also has a side effect - hunger, which will last about a minute and a half.

Elixirs of influence can also inflict instant damage to the player, slowing him down for a while or even poisoning him.

Having the opportunity to create potions, players can start building their own laboratories, where they will conduct experiments, combining the necessary ingredients in different proportions, thereby improving the effect of the elixir.

The effect of the potion will disappear if you drink milk (this is in case you try to be under the influence of the potion).

Not limited to crafting and redstone. There is also potions, which we will talk about today.

Part 1. Items.

No portal to lower world there can be no talk of zelvareniya, because. most items are taken from there. When you have evolved and already have access to Hell, you need to find ifrits and get the rods from them, which we will need to make a brewing stand - the most important item in potion brewing. Plus, we also need cobblestone, but this is rubbish, which is full in the world of Minecraft. We also need a boiler. It is used to store water (can be filled with a bucket), three flasks can be filled from a full cauldron. The flask is used to store and carry all potions.

Part 2. Craft necessary.

Well, to the point. We start crafting. To begin with, let's craft the simplest thing - a flask. We look at the picture:

Made simple. Now let's move on to the main one. Cooking Rack:

Part 3. Antidote.

If you are going to test a damaging potion on yourself, then you will need an antidote. The antidote is plain milk.

Part 4. Reagents.

Reagents are needed to change the potion. They can:

Reverse the effect of the potion.

Extend the effect of the potion.

Part 4.1. Basic reagents.

Base Affecting Reagents are needed to create Primary and Tertiary Potions and change the duration and intensity of Tertiary Potions' effects:

Characteristics

Main ingredient for Potions of Weakness

Causes negative effects.

Main ingredient for thick potion

Enhances effects

Main ingredient for Rough potion, with which you can make any potion that has an effect.

Main ingredient for Unremarkable potion

Increases the duration of effects.

Being added to a level II potion weakens it.

When added to any potion, it makes it explode.

Reduces the duration of effects.

Part 4.2. Base-producing reagents.

Base-producing reagents are used to create both primary and secondary potions, but they do not affect duration or intensity.

Part 4.3. Manufacturing reagents.

Producing reagents are mixed with basic potions to give the potion the effect that the potion will give the player when they drink it. Here is a list of the main producing reagents:

Regeneration

fire resistance

Poisoning

Speed

Night vision

underwater breathing

Powerful jump

Part 4.4. Connected reagents.

Linked reagents are reagents made from a pair of base reagents. They are used to create tertiary potions with new effects.

The table below lists the tertiary reagents:

Instant Damage

Although the official release of minecraft containing alchemy has not yet been released, I think it will not be long in coming and decided to write an alchemy guide based on the prerelease. The ability to create potions using brewing racks was added in Prerelease 3, and in Prerelease 4 you can not only brew regular potions, but weapon potions as well. You throw a vial of acid at an unsuspecting pig, and that's it - collect loot. But that's later, and now let's talk about how all the same to brew your first potion.

So, in order to brew a potion, we need a brewing stand. Let's craft it from the following items:

  • 3 Blocks of Cobblestone
  • 1 fire wand

We place all this as follows and get the hob.

It is in it that potions are now brewed. Previously, they were supposed to be boiled in cauldrons, but then, due to the inconvenience, it was decided that the cooking stand was better suited for the cooking process. However, cauldrons are still in the game, and you can craft a cauldron out of 7 iron ingots to store a bucket of water in. But it seems to me that this is not very convenient when you can make endless water in a simple and well-known way.

In addition to the hob, we need flasks. They are created from:

  • 3 blocks of glass

Flasks need to be filled with water by clicking on it with the right mouse button, holding an empty flask in your hand. You can take water either from a cauldron, or ordinary water in the form in which it has always existed in minecraft. Water is the base for all potions existing at the time of writing this guide, so it will not be possible to comprehend the art of potion without it.

You now have water bottles and a brew stand in front of you. “And from what to brew potions?” - you ask. Not so simple. There are 2 types of ingredients in minecraft, and now we will figure out why each of them is needed.

Main Ingredients

Reagents of this type are needed to create primary and tertiary potions and affect the duration and strength of the effect when added to a finished potion. Gunpowder, unlike other reagents of this type, affects the way the potion is used.

Fermented Spider Eye Base ingredient in Potion of Weakness
Causes negative effects
Lightdust Base ingredient in Thick Potion
Enhances the effect
Decreases duration of action
hellish outgrowth Base ingredient in Potion of Clumsiness
red dust Base ingredient in mundane potion
Weakens the effect
Increases duration of action
Powder The character will throw a potion if this ingredient is added to it

Formative Ingredients

This type of reagent is added to primary potions to obtain secondary ones. They determine the effect of the potion when applied.

Ghast's tear Regeneration
shiny melon Instant Heal/Damage
lava cream fire resistance

Now, knowing what effects the ingredients give, let's try to brew a potion of speed. It will allow us to run faster and jump further, and this is important, because the minecraft world is huge. To do this, fill an empty flask with water, then put it in one of the lower slots of the brewing stand (you can put 3 flasks at once), and put the hellish outgrowth in the top one.

When the cooking process is over, we get a potion of clumsiness at the exit. Let's add sugar to the top slot, since we want a potion of speed, and it is sugar that gives this effect.

If you did everything right, you should have a potion of speed. If you like, you can add Light Dust to it to increase the haste (but decrease the duration), Redstone to increase the duration (but reduce the acceleration), or Fermented Spider Eye to get a slow potion (you can add more gunpowder to it and throw it at someone ).

Now you know more about the art of alchemy in the minecraft world. Try potion brewing yourself, it will surely come in handy in the upcoming patch.

Prepare cooking utensils. You will need a few items to create the potion, as well as a source of water. The necessary items must be created using a workbench.

  • Stove for cooking (Brewing Stand). It is needed to brew the potion. You can craft it by placing three blocks of cobblestone in the bottom row of the workbench and one Blaze Rod in its center square.
  • Boiler (Cauldron). A cauldron isn't actually required to brew a potion, but you can keep water in it. A bucket of water is placed in the cauldron, which is enough to fill three bottles. A cauldron can be made by placing seven iron ingots in the outer spaces of a workbench, leaving the top center and middle spaces empty.
  • Glass bottles. In them you will store your potions. The bottles can be taken from the witches or fished out of the water, but you can also make them yourself by placing three glass blocks in the cells of the workbench: one block in the lower center cell, the second in the left middle cell, and the third block in the right middle cell. At one time you will make three bottles.
  • Gather Nether Wart. Infernal Growth is the main ingredient for almost all potions in Minecraft game. The only potion that doesn't use it is the Potion of Weakness.

    • Infernal Growth you will collect in the Nether. Look for it in abandoned fortresses, especially near stairs.
    • Infernal Growth can be grown by planting it in Soul Sand. This way, you will not spend a lot of time collecting it, especially if you need to make a lot of potions.
  • Gather additional ingredients. The main ingredient will not be enough. The effect of each potion will depend on the additional ingredient.

    • Spider Eye. You can take spider eyes from spiders or witches, and you can also find them in spider caves. They are used to make poison potions.
    • Brilliant Melon (Blistering Melon). You can craft a Shiny Melon using the Workbench by placing eight Gold Ingots around the Melon. It is needed to make a healing potion.
    • Golden Carrot. It can also be made at a workbench by placing eight gold bars around one carrot. Use this ingredient to make a Potion of Night Vision.
    • Sparkling Powder (Blaze Powder). You can make it from a Fire Rod and it is used to brew a strength potion.
    • Pickled Spider Eye (Fermented Spider Eye). It is made from spider eyes, mushrooms, and sugar. Used to make a Potion of Weakness.
    • Spiny Bubble Fish (Pufferfish). You will need to fish it out and use it to brew a potion that will give you the ability to breathe underwater.
    • Ointment from Magma (Magma Cream). You will need to take the magma from the Lava Mobs. Then make an ointment by combining it in a workbench with Glittering Powder and a wad of slime. Used to make fireproof potion.
    • Sugar. Sugar can be made from sugar cane. It is used to make potions that increase speed.
    • Tear of Gast (Ghast Tear). You will receive tears from gast mobs. Getting a tear is not so easy, since ghasts usually fly over lava. The ingredient is used for a potion that will restore health levels.
    • Rabbit's foot (Rabbit's Foot). The paws will be provided by the rabbits. Use them to make a potion that will increase the strength of your jumps. But you can only use it in Minecraft 1.8.
  • Add more ingredients. You can improve your potion by adding some additional ingredient to it. It will generally increase the duration of your potion's effect. Or the potion will be easier to throw at enemies.

    • Redstone. To get the Red Stone, you need to dig up the Red Ore (Redstone Ore). This ingredient increases the duration of the potion.
    • Glowstone Dust. It can be obtained by breaking a Glowstone block. From one block of stone, you can get up to four blocks of dust. It enhances the effect of the potion, but also reduces its duration.
    • Gunpowder. It can be taken from Creepers, Gasts, or Witches. With it, you will be able to throw your potion.
    • Pickled spider eye. You can add this ingredient again to change your potion. But be aware that the eye can also ruin it.
  • The game is devoid of any meaning without magical potions that give the player positive and negative effects. In this guide, we will tell you how to brew potions in Minecraft. This is quite a fun activity! The character will be able to move quickly, jump higher, swim in lava, be protected from skeleton arrows, instantly restore health, become invisible and much more. You just need to learn the basics of potions in Minecraft. To do this, players need to craft a brewing stand. The main ingredient for crafting a new device is a fire rod, mined in the hellish fortresses of the Nether dimension and dropped from Ifrit mobs. Required recipes are included below.

    crafting recipes

    Potions are bottled in two types of glass bottles. All cooking recipes in Minecraft are also listed below. To create a drinking potion, you need to place a flask filled with ordinary water on the counter and add the necessary ingredients. The second type is exploding test tubes that spread the effect at a distance. To use this type of potion in Minecraft, you need to add gunpowder. The bottle will change its appearance and can be thrown like a grenade.
